Title: Glasstonbarrel party.

John - July 18, 2005 12:56 PM (GMT)
Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated our first anniversary with us on Sat 16th.
What a cracking day.
I'm now going to go into a Gwyneth Paltrow type waffle of thanks, in no particular order not just for the day but support in general.

Special thanks for Saturday go to CAB and The Andy Bennet band, two of our favorites.
Both played out of their skins. For those who don't know CAB & Big W are like our babies.

Dawn - Made much of the decorations and costumes.
Alistare, Russ & Kieron for stirling work behind the bar.
Tan and Paul - for helping out and being ace mates.
Webby & Alix - without whom we wouldn't have this great website.
Sarah - Stirling work as the clean up fairy and relief bar work.
Rochelle - Making decorations with Dawn.
Barbera - Caz's Mum and unpaid gofer.
Tony - Barrel chef extradinaire - who's kept us alive this year.
Steve Robinson - BBQ equipment and top mate.
Kath & Martin - without whom we'd never have got open.
Waz, Dave, Max - stirling jam night work.
Bands - All the bands who have played in the last 12 months.
Stevie - for stirling work on the disco.
Skippy - along with Tony on the longest running barby.
Bod - non stop mobile tattoo parlour.
Dave & Leo - John's Mum & Dad for support both mental and financial.
I'd especially like to thank all the band's and companies who have supported our charity nights.
Wincanton - paying the wages.
Venetia - actually the one to see the need for a rock pub at the Barrel.
Steve and Lol - Great support, pub repairs, contributors to whatever is going on.
Everyone who helped us in the re-furb.

There's a huge list of people who we owe a debt of gratitude to. I can't name them all, but our heartfelt thanks go out to each and every one of you - you know who you are.

Thanks to all The Glass Barrel Customers over the last year.
Running this type of venue is a very expensive business. We love doing this, we love the bike's, bands and the music but we can only do it with your support.

As I've said before ''Where else can we make this much noise and have band's on in your living room''

Lots of love John & Caz.

And Shadrack!!!!!

Drunkest was big bloke I'd never seen before, calling uncle Hughie between his feet, thankfully in the yard.

By the time we'd cleared up, gone out for lunch and delivered my Mum & Dad to the station we opened about 5pm!!
